Johann Heinrich Kunkler
Born in 1756.
Died in 1836.
Johann Heinrich Kunkler was an artist whose oeuvre encompassed landscape painting, still lifes and portraits. He worked as drawing instructor to the Prince of Isenburg-Birstein. Kunkler also travelled alongside the painter Friedrich Oelenhainz, which may have enriched his artistic experience.
After 1794, he gave drawing lessons in St. Gallen, thereby contributing to the artistic training of his contemporaries. The details of his career and influence remain partly obscure, leaving questions about his impact on the artistic milieu of his time.
