Johann Georg Koch
Born in 1702.
Died in 1765.
Johann Georg Koch was a painter whose activity was primarily associated with the region of Thun and its environs. He is known for his landscapes as well as for his copies of works by Italian masters. Among his notable works is a large painting depicting Moses, located in the church of Hilterfingen.
He may be identical with a portrait painter named J. G. Koch, active around 1750 in St. Gallen, although this identification remains uncertain.
