Johann Franz Aufdermaur
Born in 1696.
Died in 1744.
Johann Franz Aufdermaur was a painter whose activity is documented by works executed for Engelberg Abbey in 1732 and again between 1738 and 1739. The details of his career and style remain partly obscure, leaving questions about his influence and artistic production during this period. His contributions to religious art, particularly in the monastic context, might merit further attention.
