Johann Baptist Klauber
Born in 1712.
Died in 1787.
Johann Baptist Klauber is recognised for his work as a copper engraver. He contributed to the creation of the “Staats- und Wappenkalender für Solothurn”, based on a design by Johann Wolfgang Baumgartner. Among his notable works is a print from 1755 illustrating the theme of the Theban Martyrs.
Klauber also collaborated with his brother, Joseph Sebastian Klauber, attesting to a family dynamic within the field of graphic art.
