Johann Bachmann
Born in 1608.
Died in 1636.
Johann Bachmann was a decorative painter and designer of ensembles from Säckingen. His activity is notable for the execution of interior decoration, particularly between 1608 and 1609, when he carried out the decoration of the ceilings and walls of the Stiftskirche in Beromünster. Later, between 1635 and 1636, he was also commissioned to apply the colour scheme to the principal altarpiece of the Wallfahrtskirche in Oberschongau.
The details of his oeuvre and style nevertheless remain partly uncertain.
