Jean-Pierre Mello is a Geneva painter with a studio in Carouge. He develops his painting practice from 1971 and chairs the Palette carougeoise from 1978 to 1980. His palette gradually lightens, with particular attention to shadows and light.
His studio also serves as a place of learning. Rita Mancesti's biography records instruction in oil painting with Mello in Carouge during her training period from 1998 to 2003.
