Jean Mauboulès

Jean Mauboulès is presented as a sculptor whose practice, centred on working with iron and glass, was considered alongside Jean Cocteau’s graphic practice in the joint exhibition at the APCd Fondation, Marly, from 17 March to 9 July 2017. He forges iron and shapes glass to produce three-dimensional abstract profiles, a material approach explained in the exhibition dossier.

The presentation at the APCd Fondation (Marly, 17 March–9 July 2017) highlighted the formal affinities between these three-dimensional profiles and Cocteau’s graphic work. In addition, Jean Mauboulès took part in the group exhibition « Enfin… » at Galerie am Marktplatz, Büren an der Aare, in 2019.
