Jean-François Liegme was a painter whose activity was centred mainly in Geneva. He is recognised as a representative of lyrical abstraction within the art scene of French-speaking Switzerland. Although his oeuvre is little documented, it bears witness to a particular sensitivity to forms and colours characteristic of this artistic movement.
