Jakob Brunner
Born in 1546.
Died in 1589.
Jakob Brunner was an artist active in the field of glass painting in Brugg. In 1576, he received a commission to execute twelve stained-glass windows for the council of Brugg. His expertise as a panel painter is also evident in works for Schenkenberg Castle, as well as for Brugg’s upper tower and the Hofmeisterei in Königfelden.
It should be noted that he was the uncle of Jakob Dünz.
