Jacques Tortorel
Born in 1568.
Died in 1570.
He collaborated with Jean Perrissin in Geneva, where together they produced engravings depicting the wars and massacres that took place in France. Although his oeuvre was limited in duration, it bears witness to a marked interest in the tragic events of his time, thereby reflecting the social and political tensions in sixteenth-century France.
