Jacques Bordier
Born in 1616.
Died in 1684.
Jacques Bordier is known for his work as an enamel painter. He practised his art primarily in collaboration with his brother-in-law, Jean (I) Petitot, as a portraitist at the court of England and also in the service of Louis XIV. His work bears witness to a period in which enamel portraiture was highly valued, although little detailed information is available about his individual works.
