Ios Geiser
Born in 1945.
Died in 2007.
Geiser (born 20 May 1945 in Langnau bei Reiden, died 8 July 2007 in Weiden in der Oberpfalz) is described by the source as a «Swiss painter». He undertook studies at the priestly seminary of the Katholisches Kollegium in Morgens and subsequently trained at the Handelsakademie, before joining UBS in Zurich as an employee in 1966. In 1967, he interrupted his banking career in order to devote himself entirely to art and undertook a number of journeys.
His work earned him a travel grant from the Kunstmuseum Winterthur, which notably enabled a stay in Japan. In 1989, he settled in Germany. During a journey to Russia, he met his partner in Moscow; the couple had a son in 1991.
He died of cancer on 8 July 2007 in Weiden in der Oberpfalz.
