Ilonay was an artist whose career unfolded in Munich and Paris from 1910 to 1914, before she settled in Switzerland from 1914 onwards. Her oeuvre comprises portraits, landscapes, floral compositions, and still lifes. It should be noted that her works were not exhibited publicly until after the death of her husband, Johann von Tscharner, in 1946.
