Ignaz Keil
Born in 1744.
Died in 1814.
Ignaz Keil was a painter whose activity is attested by several elements. He received the support of Fürstenzell Monastery, which enabled him to spend eight years in Rome. In January 1788, he settled in Bern, where in 1789 he executed a fresco for the ceiling of the municipal library.
The details of his career and work remain partly obscure, leaving open questions about the extent of his influence and his artistic contributions.
