Hermann Meyer was an artist whose principal activity was painting. Between 1894 and 1897, he trained at the Gewerbeschule Basel under the direction of Fritz Schider. He subsequently worked as an art critic for an extended period.
From 1920 onwards, he also held a teaching position in landscape drawing at the Gewerbeschule Basel. His works focus primarily on landscape and portrait subjects.
