Helias Finsler
Born in 1563.
Died in 1578.
Helias Finsler was a painter active in Zurich. He obtained the right of membership in a guild in 1563, underscoring his integration into the city’s artistic life. His career is marked by uncertainty regarding his training, as he is presumed to have been a pupil of Hans Asper, a recognised artist of his time.
The details of his oeuvre and style remain poorly documented, leaving a gap in the art history of Renaissance Zurich.
