Heinrich von Grissach was an artist whose career appears to have begun in Lucerne. In 1583, he is recorded in Solothurn, and in 1585 in Fribourg. In 1591, he was working in Marseille as a glassmaker and probably also as a glass painter, before returning to Fribourg in 1599.
He was the son of Peter von Grissach, who was likewise known for his work in the field of glassmaking. Details of his life and work remain partly uncertain, leaving questions about his artistic career.
