Heinrich Triner belonged to the Triner family of artists. As a draughtsman and painter, he served as a drawing teacher at the Fellenberg Institute in Hofwil. His œuvre includes depictions of the cantons of Uri, Schwyz and Aargau, as well as illustrations of the Gotthard route.
He was the son of Franz Xaver Triner.
