Heinrich Kölla
Born in 1757.
Died in 1789.
Heinrich Kölla was an artist active as a painter and draughtsman. He studied under his uncle Johann Kölla as well as Johann Kaspar Füssli the Elder. His artistic career took him to Rome between 1784 and 1787, during which period he may have absorbed the city’s artistic influences.
The details of his œuvre and style, however, remain poorly documented, leaving a degree of uncertainty as to his impact on the artistic milieu of his time.
