Heinrich Füssli der Ältere was a painter and draughtsman from the Füssli family of artists. The son of Rudolf Füssli the Elder, he initially devoted his talent to landscape painting before, over the years, turning to representations of insects and birds. Alongside his artistic career, he also followed in his father’s professional footsteps, holding the position of Sustmeister in Horgen.
