Heinrich Bebi
Born in 1799.
Died in 1888.
Heinrich Bebi was an artist active as a painter and engraver. His œuvre is characterised by landscapes inspired by the work of Aegidius Federle, executed in aquatint. In addition to his landscapes, he also produced genre scenes and portraits.
From 1842 onwards, he continued his career in the United States, where his style and subject matter may have evolved within a new cultural context.
