Hedwig Grieb

Born in 1880.

Died in 1964.

Hedwig Grieb is documented as a “Helferin” (volunteer/assistant) and was honoured at the Weihnachtsfeier (Christmas celebration) organised by AWO-Ochsenfurt. Reports on the event explicitly name her among the “Helferinnen” who contributed to the success of the celebration and received an award; the reference occurs in connection with the distribution of AWO bags.

The same sources also mention her presence at a summer barbecue held by the AWO seniors, where Hedwig Grieb served drinks and refreshments to the participants. The logistical description of this event places this service activity within the rotation of duties undertaken by several volunteers during the club’s gatherings.

The name Gerhard Grieb also appears in texts relating to the association’s activities, suggesting a nominal proximity within the same volunteer initiatives, although the available extracts do not assert either a family relationship or a particular role.

Taken together, the assembled documents attest to Hedwig Grieb’s regular presence in the organisation and service of AWO-Ochsenfurt events; they provide evidence of her voluntary association work, but offer no further information from which to compose an extended biographical notice.
