Hans Werro
Born in 1506.
Died in 1517.
Hans Werro was an artist whose activity is primarily associated with stained glass. He received commissions from the municipal council of Fribourg, Switzerland, producing numerous heraldic windows, as well as stained-glass works depicting scenes from civic life and coats of arms. In 1506, he notably supplied stained-glass works for the localities of Bellegarde, Marsens and Düdingen.
His work bears witness to craftsmanship in the creation of pieces that combine function and aesthetics, although little detailed information about his artistic career is available.
