Hans von Arx, also known as Schleggel, was a painter active in Lucerne at the beginning of the sixteenth century. His most notable works are the high altar of Mantzetal and the Martyriumsaltar in Stans. He also executed frescoes in the former “Haus Sautier” in Lucerne and an altar in Kirchbühl, near Sempach.
