Hans Ulrich Heinricher was active as a stained-glass artist and painter. Although he probably originated from Lucerne, he grew up in Fribourg. His work is marked by numerous deliveries of coats of arms.
In 1598 and 1599, he is mentioned as working for the Altenryf convent, located in Hauterive. He was also the father of Peter Heinricher, attesting to an artistic continuity within his family.
