Hans Süffert is recognised for his work as a landscape painter. He also worked as a teacher of porcelain painting at the General School of Arts and Crafts in Basel. Alongside his pictorial œuvre, Süffert produced ceramic works for the Manufacture de Sèvres, thereby demonstrating his commitment to the applied arts.
