Hans Jakob Ablutz was a painter from Mellingen whose activity in Bremgarten is documented in 1681. SIK-ISEA records a commission in that year to paint the decoration of the clock on the Spitalturm. The project provides a specific reference for his contribution to the painted decoration of the town’s buildings.
His record therefore concerns a painter active in the late seventeenth century and does not assign unverified life dates to him.
