Hans Heinrich Wolleb
Born in 1498.
Died in 1527.
Hans Heinrich Wolleb was a glass artist whose activity is documented in Basel. A pupil and collaborator of the glass painter Urs Werder, he distinguished himself through his expertise in the field of glass painting. In 1505, a conflict with the artisans’ guild forced him to settle in Freiburg im Breisgau.
His last recorded mention dates from 1527, thus marking the end of a career whose details remain partly obscure.
