Hans Heinrich Töucher
Born in 1594.
Died in 1618.
Hans Heinrich Töucher was an artist whose principal activity was glass painting. He was a pupil of Josias Murer in Zurich, a recognised master in the field of stained glass. Töucher is particularly known for having created twelve stained-glass panels depicting emblematic scenes from the Swiss cantons, known as Standesscheiben.
Although his oeuvre was limited in duration, his training under a renowned artist and his creations bear witness to a level of craftsmanship worthy of exploration.
