Hans Acker
Born in 1413.
Died in 1461.
Hans Acker was a painter and stained-glass artist active in Ulm, whose earliest mentions date to 1413 and whose latest date to 1461. The son of Jakob Acker the Elder, who was also a painter and stained-glass artist, Hans Acker was probably trained in the family workshop, which he took over after 1427. His major works include the stained-glass windows in the Besserer Chapel of Ulm Cathedral.
He also executed commissions for other religious buildings, notably Constance Cathedral, the church of Blaubeuren, and Bern Cathedral.
