Güdel
Born in 1981.
He established and annotated a critical edition of Ferdinand Hodler, La Mission de l'artiste (Geneva, Éditions Notari, 2014). In 2016, he founded the “Hodleriana” series at Éditions Notari in Geneva.
In curatorial terms, he appears as curator or co-curator of exhibitions devoted to Ferdinand Hodler, notably Hodler et le Léman (Musée d'art de Pully, 2018) and Ferdinand Hodler. Revoir Valentine (Musée Jenisch, 2023). Since April 2024, he has been director of the Musées de la Ville de Pully.
On Gustave Courbet, he is the author of Gustave Courbet. Une enquête sur le paysage (Les presses du réel, 2019) and the editor of Gustave Courbet. Les Dessins (Les Cahiers dessinés, 2019).
He is listed as co-curator of the Gustave Courbet retrospective announced for 2026 at the Leopold Museum (Vienna) and the Folkwang Museum (Essen), in collaboration with Hans-Peter Wipplinger.
