Giuseppe Alessandria
Born in 1802.
Giuseppe Alessandria was an artist whose principal activity centred on miniature painting and portraiture. He practised his art in Lucerne between 1847 and 1858, during which period he probably contributed to the local art scene. Details of his career and influence nevertheless remain fragmentary, leaving questions about his trajectory and works.
Although less well documented, his artistic legacy merits further exploration in order to better understand his impact on the fields of miniature painting and portraiture in the nineteenth century.
