Fritz Deringer was an artist whose oeuvre encompassed painting, printmaking and illustration. He is particularly known for his landscapes inspired by the Lake Zurich region, as well as for his watercolours depicting cities and ports in the south. His artistic approach reveals a sensitivity to the light and atmosphere of the places he portrayed, although details of his career and influence remain partly obscure.
