Fred Eisermann
Born in 1909.
Died in 1965.
Fred Eisermann was a German artist whose path led him to Switzerland from 1944 onwards. A painter and draughtsman, he was also interested in the natural sciences. His work is characterised by expressively abstract paintings, often inspired by themes related to astronomy, physics and nuclear physics.
These scientific motifs bear witness to an aesthetic inquiry into the relationship between art and the sciences.
