François Diodati
Born in 1647.
Died in 1690.
François Diodati is recognised for his work as an engraver and illustrator. He produced views of Geneva as well as portraits, drawing in particular on the works of Goltzius. Diodati was a pupil of the enameller Jean André, which no doubt influenced his artistic approach.
His career bears witness to a rich body of activity, although certain aspects of it remain uncertain.
