Eugen Jordi worked as a graphic artist, typographer, painter and woodcarver. He began his career in the family printing business, where he worked as a typographer and printer. He continued his graphic practice until 1946, when he took a new direction by becoming a teacher at the School of Applied Arts in Bern, a position he held until 1962.
His oeuvre includes depictions of workers, landscapes and still lifes, attesting to the thematic diversity of his artistic approach.
