Ernst Hodel II. was a painter whose œuvre is distinguished by landscape frescoes executed in several Swiss railway stations, notably in Lucerne, Bern and Basel, as well as at the Glacier Museum in Lucerne. His repertoire includes depictions of landscapes, animals and religious scenes.

He was the son of Ernst Hodel I., pointing to an artistic continuity within his family. Details concerning his career and the extent of his influence remain only partially documented, leaving questions about his legacy in the Swiss art landscape.
