Emanuel Ebert

Emanuel Ebert is recognised for his work as a draughtsman, copperplate engraver and wood engraver. His most notable work, a woodcut depicting a medieval warrior, was used as the cover of the Basler Kriegsbüchlein until the end of the eighteenth century. Although the details of his life and death remain unclear, his impact on the illustration of this period is undeniable.
