Between 1925 and 1945, he also worked as a restaurateur in Engelberg while pursuing his artistic career. In 1945, he settled in Horw, where he continued to develop his oeuvre. From 1949 onwards, he devoted himself to lithography at the Graphischen Anstalt Vontobel in Feldmeilen.
His career reflects a duality between art and hospitality, although certain aspects of his life and work remain uncertain.
