Eckhart Markgraff

Eckhart Markgraff was a glass artist from Minden, Germany. He obtained Lucerne citizenship in 1578, thereby marking his integration into local life. His most notable work appears to have been the creation of a heraldic panel for Abbot Jakob von Muri, made in 1592 for the Rathausen convent.
Markgraff, whose career was cut short by his death in 1594, left behind a testament to the stained-glass art of his time, although little information survives about his career and other works.
