The Dufaux family, originally from Geneva, distinguished itself through its commitment to enamel painting and the manufacture of enamels and vitrifiable colours, an activity that extended from the nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth century. Louis Dufaux, the patriarch, laid the foundations for this artisanal tradition, which was subsequently carried on by his descendants and the family of his widow, the Millenet-Dufaux. Together, they succeeded in developing the enterprise, thereby leaving their mark on the field of enamel.
