David Hautt the Elder was an artist and printer active in Lucerne between 1636 and 1657. His work includes an engraving for the publication 'Helvetia sacra' by the historian Johann Heinrich Murer. After a fire ravaged his workshop, he moved to Vienna.
Hautt is also recognised as the father of Nikolaus Hautt.
