Colette B.
Born in 1948.
Colette Eigenheer-Bourquin works under the name « colette b » and lives in Neuchâtel. Long active in the Neuchâtel region, she has presented exhibitions in Switzerland as well as in Paris and Brussels. These references include a presentation at Galerie Couteron in Paris in July 2012.
Her painterly practice focuses on colour, monochrome, and an enquiry directed towards the essential. This formulation is presented as the explicit foundation of her creative approach.
Works were incorporated into an audiovisual parcours in which the rhythm of the editing follows the musical progression, a collaboration in which the music of Carole Battais serves as a point of departure. The project specifically sought to « set in motion » and animate still images in order to propose a pictorial journey linking paintings and music.
In 2022, a monograph entitled « colette b, En chemin… » was published by éditions du Griffon, retracing her artistic career.
The documented elements portray a practice centred on fields of colour and monochrome, attentive to setting paintings in motion, and rooted in the Neuchâtel art scene, with appearances in Paris and Brussels.
