Claus
Born in 1414.
Died in 1422.
Claus, active at the beginning of the fifteenth century, is first mentioned in Lucerne in 1414. His work is manifested primarily in painting and fresco. He is known to have lost his life as a mercenary at the Battle of Arbedo in 1422.
It should be noted that he must not be confused with another artist of the same name, a Lucerne master glazier. The details of his artistic career remain partly obscure, leaving questions about his influence and style.
