Augustine Françoise Richard dite Bressel
Born in 1829.
Died in 1857.
She distinguished herself as a painter of genre scenes and portraits. Bressel was also the sister of Charles Richard, another artist of her time. Although her artistic career is relatively poorly documented, her family connection with Charles Richard might suggest a mutual influence in their artistic practices.
Details concerning her works and her impact on the artistic milieu remain uncertain, leaving her legacy in art history open to further exploration.
