Anna Maria Werner is recognised as a German miniaturist. In 1721, she was called to the court of Dresden, where she practised her art. The daughter and pupil of Andreas Haid, she also married Christoph Joseph Werner I., which may have influenced her artistic career.
Her work reflects a meticulous and refined tradition characteristic of her time.
