André-Valentin Baud
Born in 1875.
Died in 1903.
André-Valentin Baud was a Swiss painter whose work focused on landscapes and genre scenes. He was a member of the artists’ group Les Humanistes, which sought to promote a humanist vision of art. The son of Auguste Baud-Bovy, he also benefited from the teaching of Barthélemy Menn and Hugues Bovy, notable figures of their time.
His artistic career, although tragically cut short at a young age, bears witness to a solid training and an immersion in the artistic movements of his time.
