André Sugnaux
Born in 1944.
André Sugnaux is an artist whose career is distinguished by his dual practice as a painter and stained-glass artist. His oeuvre includes several monumental murals created in Egypt, as well as stained-glass windows in Switzerland. Sugnaux also explores profound themes, notably that of the Gulag.
It should be noted that he was the first foreign member to be admitted to the Union of Russian Artists, a fact that attests to the impact of his work beyond national borders.
