Ambrosio Mattei
Born in 1700.
Died in 1799.
Ambrosio Mattei was an artist whose activity is associated with Cevio, where he worked as a painter. He is known in particular for having created two works in the church of S. Maria Assunta.
These paintings bear witness to his commitment to the religious art of his time, although little additional information is available about his career or style. The preservation of his works in a place of worship underscores the importance of his contribution to local culture.
