Alphonse Stengelin was an artist whose oeuvre developed primarily through painting, engraving and lithography. His works include landscapes inspired by the Netherlands as well as portraits. Stengelin studied under several masters, among them Fleury, Chenu and Cabane, who undoubtedly influenced his style and technique.
